Compensation varies by pathway and experience. Part-time contractors typically earn competitive hourly rates plus performance bonuses. Full-time Guardians receive salary packages comparable to industry standards. We are transparent about compensation during the interview process.
Absolutely. Many of our paid Guardians started as volunteers. It is a great way to learn our systems, build skills, and demonstrate your commitment before transitioning to contractor or full-time roles.
All Guardians receive comprehensive training on our tools, processes, and approach to customer support. Volunteers get mentorship from experienced professionals. Contractors and full-time Guardians receive ongoing professional development opportunities.
Guardian work includes both remote and in-person components. Remote work includes customer support, emergency response, and virtual consultations. In-person work includes client home visits for services like network planning and device configuration, community workshops at schools and organizations, and on-site security implementations. The balance varies by role and client needs.
Yes, Guardians should be prepared for local travel within their service area. This includes visiting client homes for technical services and delivering community education workshops. Most travel is local (within 30-60 minutes), though occasional regional travel may be required. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for contractor and full-time roles.
